Binangonan Association of Southern California

BASC's Feast of Sta. Ursula Celebration 2006

Below are some pictures taken during the breakfast gathering after the mass at St. Columban Church. Fr. Colm Rafferty, an Irish Columban, celebrated the Eucharist. According to him, the first parish that he visited when he arrived the Philippines in 1955 was Binangonan.

Perhaps you could recognize some of the people in the pictures, even I was there I had to ask their names to know them. It was fun and nice to connect with people from our hometown. We speak the same language and we talk about people whom we know over the years. The first thing they always asked me was "Kanino ka bang anak?" Only then they make connections.

A lot of food, a lot of stories, a lot of good things happened...we are very grateful for having Sta. Ursula accompanying us throughout the years. It will definitely continue on as long as there are people of Binangonan organizing the events like Tita Viring and Tito Ernie Cerda. They are pillars in making this gathering a successful one. There was also a dinner-dance party that night.
